Work Orders can be raised via several different avenues. The simplest method is directly via the Navigation Panel, under Work Orders > Raise New. Additionally, Work Orders can also be raised from the Asset Detail view, Contract Dashboard and Site Dashboard.
1.0 Raise a Work Order from the Navigation Panel
step 1
Click the ‘Raise New’ menu option under Work Orders to launch the Work Order creation wizard.
step 2
Select a Contract, Site and Assets. Repeat for all Assets to add to the Work Order. Click the Next button when done.
-
This can be achieved via keyboard or touch methods (multiple assets from the same asset type can be added by clicking the ‘+’ on the asset type name).
-
Note: Once one asset is added to the Work Order, the Contract and Site fields are locked and do not need entering again. Repeat the process for all the assets to be added to the Work Order.
step 3
Enter the details of the Work Order. Click the Next button when done.
-
Enter information into the Description, Service Provider, Work Order Tags, Work Order Type, Priority and Requestor fields.
-
Add Commence Before and Complete By dates and times in the ‘Attendance & Completion Times’ section.
step 4
Faults. This section is not yet implemented. Click Next to continue.
step 5
Select Documents (optional)
-
Drag and drop files into the drop files box, or add by clicking the Add Document (plus) button. Click the Next button.
-
Each document selected must have a Document Type applied. Do this by clicking the edit button on the Document table, and selecting a Document Type on the popup form.
-
Depending on the Document Types selected, multiple Document Types can be applied against a single document.
-
Click Next to continue.
Ensure file(s) being uploaded remain in the same location on your local drive until the Work Order is distributed. By moving file(s) to a different location, or deleting them, an error will occur when you attempt to create the Work Order on Step 6.
step 6
Review the details of the Work Order. When ready, select who to send the Work Order to and click ‘Create and Send’.
step 7
The new Work Order is now complete and sent to the appropriate parties.
- Should additional changes need to be made, or documents added, click the ‘View Work Order xxxx’ button in the bottom right corner. This will open the work order, allowing changes to be made.
